With views of Snowdon, Moel Hebog and The Glyders (when it's clear!) and situated on the footpath up Cnicht, the Centre makes an ideal base for high and low level walks.
Climbing and Abseiling
A good selection of local crags within easy walking distance, or the weather-proof option of a nearby indoor climbing wall.
Expedition Camping
Gelli Iago makes an ideal base for lightweight expeditions, and is successfully used for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Orienteering
The area around the Centre provides perfect terrain for orienteering and practice in navigation.
Environmental Field Studies
Ample opportunity for field studies such as Geography, Geology and Biology, both in the mountains of Snowdonia and on the coast.
Archaeological Studies
The area is steeped in history, from the remains of the original farmhouse (a 16th century longhouse) and the mill, to the numerous Bronze Age settlements in Cwm Gelli Iago.
